Welcome to the website of Creekside Bible Church. As a new church plant in the Matthews area we are a community of believers in Christ Jesus who are passionate for the glory of God. We are committed to Expository preaching and exist to worship God, edify and equip the saints, and evangelize the lost. We believe that faithful, verse-by-verse exposition of God's Word is vital to the spiritual health, growth, and maturity of our church. It is both our privilege and responsibility to proclaim the excellencies of God here in the Charlotte-Matthews area and around the world.
Sunday Worship Service
We are currently meeting Sunday mornings at Elizabeth Lane Elementary school in Matthews. The school is located at: 121 Elizabeth Lane, Matthews, NC. 28105. Coffee and fellowship at 10:00am. Service begins at 10:30am. Click here for directions.
Women's Bible StudyJoin the women at Creekside each Tuesday at the home of Lisa Menchinger from 9:30 to 10:00am for prayer, and from 10:00 to11:30am for a Precept Study of the Book of Jude. Why Expository Preaching?
Our commitment to the exposition of Scripture is rooted in the apostle Paul's mandate to "preach the Word" (2 Tim 4:1-4). We believe that expository preaching is essential in accomplishing this goal (Ezra 7:10).
In exposition, the preacher studies the historical and grammatical context of a passage so that he can rightly interpret the author's intended meaning to the original recipients. He then communicates its teaching in a clear and engaging way to a contemporary audience so that people will understand and apply the Word to their lives and grow in Christ-likeness.
We believe that when the Word of God is accurately interpreted (2 Tim 2:15) and faithfully proclaimed (Col 1:25), the Holy Spirit will use it to transform lives and equip believers to serve to God's glory (1 Cor 2:1-5).
